Rider, with great honor I present to you the American Flag. You have volunteered to take her into your responsibility until your designated course brings you to the next Patriot, unto whom will accept the same and relieve you of your duty. Upon taking her into your care you will show the greatest respect as you are also accepting all that she represents. You are accepting her past, present and future. You accept the many who have stood to defend her. You accept the many who have fallen in service to her. You accept her dignity, pride and pain.
Do you Rider accept this flag, this mission, and this responsibility?
